“I had the putter rolling. On a lot of holes we had two putts for birdie. I stoned it a couple times to two or three feet and a few other times Shawn would hit it to eight feet, I’d hit it to 12 and make the putt and he would pick up. On the holes when I did hit it in the woods he was knocking it on the green and either making birdie or making par,” said Seavey after the round.

Warren and Seavey finished four shots ahead of three teams that tied for second, including Bob Tramonti of Triggs.

Hot Putting Wins it

Warren & Seavey combined for 11 birdies to post 10-under par 60 in the four-ball stroke play Championship.

Six of those birdies came on the back-nine as the pair shot 29 on the side.

“On the back Jeff just kept on making putts. There was no secret to it. Any chance he had to get a good roll at it he just hit a ton of good putts and we were fortunate that they were falling,” added Warren.

With just one par-5 on the course, the team relied on strong iron play and great putting to pick up the win.
