Golf Channel and NBC Sports personalities will take voluntary pay cuts through the end of 2020, NBC Sports announced.
The pay cuts come as NBC, like other sports networks, continue to work through the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.
“Our on-air personalities reached out to see how they could contribute to helping our company during this difficult time. It’s another reminder of the truly great team we have at NBC Sports and how we’re all working together to get through this immense challenge,” said NBC Sports Group President Pete Bevacqua.
According to Golfweek, pay cut range from 5 to 10%, while executives are taking 20% pay cuts.
TV personalities taking pay cuts include Dan Hicks, Mike Tirico, David Feherty, Jimmy Roberts and others.
NBC Sports is preparing to broadcast the Charity Skins Match on Sunday, May 17 between Rickie Fowler, Matt Wolff and Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.
