The Masters Tournament to Have Additional Competitor

There will be an additional player at this year’s Masters Tournament set to be held in November.

This week, the PGA Tour said that the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship will qualify as a regular event for the 2020-21 season.

That means that the winner of the tournament will automatically qualify for the Masters.

The Masters Tournament will have an additional competitor.

About The Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship

The tournament started as a Korn Ferry Tour event in 2016 before being upgraded to a PGA Tour event.

Previously, the tournament and its winner did not qualify to get in the Masters as it was scheduled against the World Golf Championships – Match Play event in March.

With the the PGA Tour shuffling its schedule, the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship has been moved to September 24 – where the only other event on the schedule is the Ryder Cup.
