Three MA Men Arrested for Playing Golf in RI

Three Massachusetts men were arrested by Richmond Police for playing golf at Meadow Brook Golf Course in Rhode Island.

This arrest is due to Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo’s executive order, which mandates that all-out-state visitors coming to Rhode Island for non-work-related matter must self-quarantine for 14 days. 

All Massachusetts golf courses are closed, per MA Governor Charlie Baker. 

Gregory Corbett, 51, of Attleboro, Tyler Pietrzyk, 22, of Taunton, and Nye Cameron, 22, of Taunton, were charged with a misdemeanor.

They are scheduled to appear in court on May 14. 

MA Residents Golfing in RI 

According to police, the men played golf at Meadow Brook and then went back to their parked cars at McDonald’s. 

According to Richmond Police, the three men parked their cars at a McDonalds down the road and got a ride to the golf course from a Rhode Island resident. 

McDonald’s employees notified police after seeing the men move golf equipment between cars.
