Golf Channel Moving to Connecticut

The Golf Channel is leaving its headquarters in Orlando, Florida and will be relocating to Stamford, Connecticut, according to a report from Golf.com.
The move brings Golf Channel closer to its parent company, the NBC Sports Group, which is also headquartered in Connecticut.
“Our aim is to be as transparent as possible with our employees. Therefore as we began this process we informed teams today that some of our media operations will be transitioning to new locations over the next year or more. Geographic consolidation is a growing and sensible trend across the media industry, and as our business continues to evolve, we’ll continue to look for ways to operate as effectively as possible to deliver world-class coverage to our loyal audiences,” Golf Channel said in a statement given to Golf.com.
According to Golf.com, it is unclear which staffers will be moved to Connecticut and when that will take place.
The Golf Channel is available to almost 500 million viewers in 80 countries.
