RI Trio Competing in Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier
A contingent of locals are competing in the Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier for the Lecom Suncoast Classic down in Florida.
Will Dickson is in the field along with former URI stars Bryson Richards and Chris Francoeur.
The number of qualifying spots is not listed.
Dickson has been laying low for some time, not appearing on leaderboards on the G-Pro Tour, Minor League Golf Tour or other events.
His round got underway at 8:10 a.m. at Tara Golf & Country Club.
Francoeur played in back-to-back Korn Ferry Tour events last month and made the cut in the second one.
He has limited KFT status after making it to the Final Stage of Q-School last year and will begin another PGA Tour Americas campaign in the coming weeks.
Francoeur gets his round started at 12:40 p.m. at Esplanade at Azario at Lakewood Ranch.
Richards has been active on the Minor League Golf Tour.
