RI Girls Take 3rd at New England Junior Amateur
Rhode Island Girls took third place at the New England Junior Amateur this week at the Crumpin-Fox Club in Massachusetts.
The team was made up of Hanley Correia, Adriana Eaton, Emma Lockhart, Claire McTaggart and Olivia Williams.
Rhode Island carded a team score of 55-over par (703) to finish two shots behind second place Connecticut and 19 shots behind first place Massachusetts.
Team Rhode Island entered this week’s New England Junior Am as the two-time defending champions after winning in 2023 and 2024.
The girls individual title was won by Massachusetts’ Maddie Smith on the second playoff hole.
Leading RI
Rhode Island was led by Olivia Williams who finished in solo fifth place at 17-over par for the week, one shot better than teammate Adriana Eaton, who took solo sixth.
RI Junior Am runner up Hanley Correia finished in solo seventh at 20-over par for the week.
Barrington star Claire McTaggart finished in a tie for 14th, while Emma Lockhart finished in 18th.
