It was a heck of an afternoon for Rhode Island golf fans on the Korn Ferry Tour with Davis Chatfield and Patrick Welch paired together for the final round of the Boise Open.
Not only were they paired together, which has happened a couple of times, they were in contention at the start of the round.
Neither of them ended up challenging the leaders, but it was a fun afternoon nonetheless.
Chatfield carded a final round 68 and finished the week at 15-under par to earn a tie for 15th overall.
Welch fired a final round 69 to finish at 14-under for the tournament and in a tie for 25th overall.
The tournament was won by Emilio Gonzalez at 22-under par.
There is now a several week break before the Korn Ferry Tour playoffs begin on September 11.
