Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Davis Chatfield made a triple bogey and two other bogeys on the back nine to finish in a tie for 10th at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Tulum Championship.
Chatfield finished at four-under for the week with a final round score of 77.
On a positive note, he is projected to move from 10th to eight on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List.
The tournament is currently in a playoff at nine-under par.
Chatfield’s Final round
Chatfield played the front nine at even par, making nine straight par putts to stay at nine-under.
He still had at least a share of the lead as he made the turn.
Disaster struck on the tenth hole when Chatfield made a triple-bogey seven to fall to three-over for the day.
Chatfield added bogeys on the 14th hole and 18th hole to finish at five-over for the round.
He did not make a birdie on the day.

Meanwhile, Classical grad Patrick Welch finished at one-under for the tournament and in a tie for 25.
He posted a round of 75, two rounds of 71 and a 70.
He is projected to climb from 129th to 109th on the points list.
