RI Ranks 36th in U.S. for Average Handicap Index
Rhode Island ranks 36th in the U.S. for average handicap index, according to the latest rankings from the USGA
The USGA notes that RI’s average handicap index is 15.0.
This is an improvement from last year where Rhode Island ranked 38th with a handicap index of 17.4.
Two year’s ago, RI ranked 34th overall.
In 2024, RI ranks behind Massachusetts and Hawaii, while ranking ahead of Connecticut and Oregon.
Mississippi has the best average handicap index at 10.7.
