Max Jackson Named RI Boys Junior Player of Year

Max Jackson has been named Rhode Island Boys Junior Player of the Year, the Rhode Island Golf Association announced on Wednesday. 

Jackson closed out his junior career this past summer by advancing to the semi-finals of the Rhode Island Amateur before falling to eventual champion Bobby Leopold. 

He won Junior Player of the Year honors with 530 total points, beating former La Salle teammate Drew MacLeod by 130 points.

Besides the Player of the Year race, Jackson also helped La Salle to its third straight High School State Title.

He also won the Pawtucket Club Championship.  

Jackson is currently in the midst of his freshman year at Rutgers University.
