Chatfield, Welch Begin Korn Ferry Tour Season 2 in Bahamas

Davis Chatfield and Patrick Welch will begin their second season on the Korn Ferry Tour on Sunday in the Bahamas. 

The two will be competing at the season-opening Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay. 

As GolfNewsRI reported, both players did well enough as rookies to earn a full exemption on the KFT this season.

Now, they will focus on trying to finish in the top 30 on the points list at the end of the season to earn a PGA Tour Card. 

Welch gets season two started at 7:27 a.m. on Sunday morning, while Chatfield is off at 7:48 a.m.

Welch in Season 1 

After his first season as a pro, the former Classical star is ranked 491st in the world at the moment. 

In 2023, Welch played in 14 events and made 12 cuts. 

He also had a third place finish. 

His official money, according to the Tour, was $136,440 for the season. 

Chatfield in Season 1

Chatfield is currently ranked 507th in the world after his first season on the Korn Ferry Tour. 

In 2023, Chatfield played in 25 KFT events and made 18 cuts. 

The former Notre Dame star notched one top ten finish and took home $187,571 (golf earnings only) total for the year.
