Well, the major championship season is certainly going to be interesting.

With the announcement by the PGA of America on Wednesday, LIV Golfers are now eligible for all four major championships in the 2023 season.

“Our decisions are always based on what’s in the best interest of the PGA of America and conducting the best championship possible. Sadly the current division in the professional game is not good for the sport or the future of the game. We hope there might be some resolution soon. In the meantime, as always, our focus will be on our mission to grow the game and improve the lives of our members, who work so hard to impact millions of lives every day,” said PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh.

The PGA of America announcement came just a day after the R&A announced that the Open Championship will “remain open” to LIV members.

Of course, LIV’s Cam Smith is the defending champion.

Augusta National and the USGA all previously announced that LIV members would be able to play in their respective tournaments.

It is important to note that Augusta National, the USGA and PGA of America are all involved in an antitrust probe by the U.S. Justice Department as the legal fight between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf wages on.
