Georgia Golf Pro Killed in Shooting at Pinetree Country Club

Georgia golf pro Gene Siller was one of three people killed during a shooting at Pinetree Country Club in Georgia on Saturday.

Siller served as the Director of Golf at the club. 

“Tragedy has stricken the Georgia Section PGA in the loss of our Member, Gene Siller. Thoughts and prayers for his family and the Pinetree Country Club family,” wrote the Georgia PGA in a statement posted to social media. 

Siller leaves behind a wife and two children.

A GoFundMe Page has been started to support Siller’s family. 

Along with Siller, there were two other victims who were found in the back of the pickup truck that drove onto the course. 

One victim was Paul Pierson, who owned the truck.

The third victim has not been identified yet, according to the New York Times.  

There has been no word on whether or not the suspect has been taken into custody at this time.
