Tiger Woods has a lot of iconic moments in his career, no doubt.
Perhaps one of the most iconic moments was in the 2008 U.S. Open and him making a putt on 18 to tie Rocco Mediate and force a playoff.
Woods would go on to win the tournament in an 18-hole playoff the next day.
On Wednesday, the USGA and the city of San Diego will honor Woods with a plague celebrating that moment.
The ceremony will be hosted by San Diego mayor Todd Gloria, San Diego city council president Jennifer Campbell and USGA president Stu Francis.
It will take place on the 18th green at Torrey Pines.
