Another sad day in Rhode Island golf history.
Marshall Properties has begun demolition of the historic Metacomet Club House.
Over the past several weeks, the clubhouse windows were taken out and the furnishings were auctioned off, as GolfNewsRI reported.

According to the City, the demo permit was applied for on February 11 and approved on March 2.
The pictures show that the left side of the clubhouse has been knocked down. It is unclear if the project will be completely finished today.
