Rhode Island’s Mike Hamilton has begun to roll out the hole designs for his PGA Tour 2K21 course, Kootenay Club. 

The course is being entered into the World Cup of Design for PGA Tour 2K21. 

“Kootenay Club (KOOT-nee) is a resort style course built in the Kootenay Region of southeastern BC. Each day I will release a hole by hole description,” wrote Hamilton on Sunday.

Hole 1:

The 1st hole of my TGC Tours WCOD entry run by mayday91283 at Kootenay is a long Par 4 measuring 465 yards from the tips requiring a good angle of attack on an uphill approach shot.

Any wayward tee shot is likely to find one of the five fairway bunkers.

Hole 2:

The 2nd at Kootenay is a downhill 610 yard Par 5 that is reachable downwind and from the upper teeing areas.

The layup is guarded by a creek which runs up to the green.

Finding the correct portion of the green can lead to an easy birdie.

Hole 3:

The 3rd at Kootenay measures 410 yards, but with the correct angle requires a 300 yard carry to reach the green.

The green at 3 is also one of the more unique on the course and requires a precise wedge shot to have any chance at birdie.

Hole 4:

The Par 3 4th at Kootenay has two green sites which will alternate based upon pin position.

The smaller green will play 155 yards to the center, while the left green will play 225 yards and share its surface with the Par 5 15th.

Both greens require precise tee shots.

Hole 5:

The 462 yard 5th at Kootenay requires a great tee shot between the pond and fairway bunkers, however when it plays downwind, this will become one of the easier holes on the front nine.
