RI Finishes 3rd at Tri-State Matches
Team Rhode Island finished in third place in the 2024 Tri-State Matches held at historic Worcester Country Club.
This is the third consecutive year in which RI has finished behind both Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Rhode Island finished with 36 points, while Connecticut finished with 75.5 and Massachusetts won the Tri-State Matches with 80.5 points.

Entering Wednesday’s Singles matches, Rhode Island led Connecticut by one point and trailed Massachusetts by 9.5 points.
Rhode Island has not won the Tri-State Matches since 2001.
The Tri-State Matches will be played in RI next year, tough a location has not been finalized.
Singles Breakdown
In the singles matches against Connecticut, Rhode Island lost 10.5-5.5.
The locals got a half point from Dave Marshall, and full points from Cam Moniz, Tim Murray, John McNeill, Jeff Dantas and John Drohen.
In the singles matches against Massachusetts, Rhode Island lost 13-3.
