Darren Corrente Wins RI Senior Am in Epic 5-Hole Playoff

Darren Corrente birdied the fifth playoff hole to beat Bruce Barboza and win the Rhode Island Senior Amateur on Tuesday afternoon at Pawtucket Country Club.
Corrente and Barboza both finished the tournament at one-under par, forcing a playoff.
The two players halved the first four holes, making epic putt after epic putt.
On the fifth playoff hole, Corrente nailed about a ten-footer for birdie to take the trophy.

Corrente, a three-time RI Senior Player of the Year, started the second round a few shots back, but carded a 67 to jump into the lead.
Brian O’Leary started the final round with the lead and finished solo third.
John Auclair and Derek Johnson finished in a tie for fourth.
