Jason Day Wins for First Time in 5 Years

For the first time in five years, Jason Day is a winner on the PGA Tour.
Day claimed victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson on Sunday afternoon with a tournament score of 23-under par.
He edged Si Woo Kim and Austin Eckroat by one shot.

Day’s drought was in part of combination of his injuries and then the death of his mother, Dening Day, about year ago.
“It was very emotional to go through and to experience what she was going through, then I had injuries on top of all of that going on in my life. It feels strange to be sitting here,” said Day after the round.
Entering the final round a few shots back, Day carded a nine-under 62 to grab the one shot victory.
He took the lead for the first time on the 12th hole when he chipped in for birdie.
