Florio Wraps up Collegiate Season with T16 at Big 10 Championship

Rhode Island’s Alexis Florio wrapped up her collegiate season with a tied for 16th finish at the Big 10 Championship on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh.
Florio finished at nine-over (222) for the tournament to finish in 15th with several other players.
If is Florio’s fifth top-15 finish of the year.

She was the lowest scoring Indiana player in every round and for the tournament.
No other Hoosier finished inside the top 30.
On the team side, Indiana finished in a tie for 12th out of 14 teams.
The Hoosiers were in the top half of the leaderboard after round one, but dropped after the final two rounds.
Florio’s Tournament
After a first round 72, Florio followed up with a second round 75.
Her third rounds started with pars on the first two holes, then made bogey on the third hole.
She followed up with bogeys on the sixth and seventh holes, before birding nine to turn at two-over.
On the back side, Florio bogeyed the 10th hole, then dropped birdies at 13 and 15 to get to one-over for the day.
She closed with a bogey on 17 and a double on 18.
