Second Round 70 has Chatfield Inside Top 20 at Lecom Suncoast Classic
Davis Chatfield followed up an electric first round with a second round 70 at the Lecom Suncoast Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour.
With players still on the course, Chatfield sits in a tie for 16th at eight-under for the tournament and will easily make the cut.
Kevin Dougherty holds the lead at 16-under par.
Looking ahead to Korn Ferry Tour reshuffle, Chatfield is currently projected to go from 123rd to 88th as he begins the weekend.
Chatfield’s 2nd Round
Chatfield opened the second round with a bogey on the second hole to go to one over.
The former RI Amateur Champ bounced right back with a birdie on the fourth hole before parring out the side to turn at even par 36.
On the back side, Chatfield birdied ten to get to one-under for the round, but could not get another birdie to drop the rest of the way.
Instead he parred out to finish with a one-under 70.
