Narragansett’s Sebastian Carlsson Wins Challenge Cup Junior Inv.

Narragansett star and URI commit Sebastian Carlsson stormed back to win the Challenge Cup Junior Invitational on Sunday afternoon at The Ridge Club in Massachusetts.
Carlsson started the final round in a tie for 16th following a first round 80, before racing up the leaderboard and into first with a second round 70 (1-under).

He finished eight-over for the tournament.
The URI commit beat New Hampshire’s Josiah Hakala by one shot to win the tournament.
The second highest finished from Rhode Island was Max Jackson, who finished tenth at 14-over par for the two-days.
The two-time defending RI High School State Champcarded back-to-back 78s.
Carlsson’s Final Round
Starting the day in 16th and a few shots back, Carlsoon had to make something happen.
He started with a birdie on the first hole, but gave it back with a bogey on the second hole.
Carlsson then birdied the fourth and sixth holes to get to two-under for the day, but gave both of those back with a double on the seventh hole.
He turned at even par 35.
On the back side, Carlsson birdied the 11th and 15th hole, but bogeyed the 17th hole to stay at one-under for the day, good enough for a one-shot lead in the tournament.
