Welch Finishes 66th at N.I.T., Oklahoma 9th
Patrick Welch finished in a tie for 66th at the N.I.T on Saturday in Arizona.
Welch carded rounds of 76, 71 and 74 to finished 66th with two other players.
On the week, the former Classical star had two doubles and two triples to sink his tournament.
Meanwhile, Welch’s Oklahoma Sooners finished in a tie for 9th, with a team score of 6-under par.
The Sooners finished with 59 birdies, third-most in the field but strings of bogeys proved to be too much to overcome.
Oklahoma next heads to San Francisco from March 30-April 1 for The Goodwin, hosted at historic Harding Park.
