DeSante Climbs 9 Spots, Finishes 42nd at Bowdoin Invitational
Kirkbrae’s Cameron DeSante posted a second round 77 to finish 42nd at the Bowdoin Invitational this weekend at Brunswick Golf Club in Maine.
After a first round 84, DeSante bounced back with a second round 77 to climb nine spots on the leaderboard and finish in a tie for 42nd with Liam Jachetta.
Nichols finished in seventh with a team score of 51-over par.
The tournament was won by Endicott College at 31-over.
DeSante’s 77
Starting on the sixth hole, DeSante opened with a bogey, before making par on the next three holes.
On the tenth hole, he made a double, and then added bogeys on 14, 15 and 18 to turn at five-over.
Making the turn for the second time, DeSante made back-to-back birdies on the second and third holes before bogeying the fourth hole and parring the fifth to shoot 77.
