Rhode Island College Wins Emmanuel Invitational

The Rhode Island College (RIC) won the Emmanuel Invitational this week at Willam Devine Golf Course in Boston, Massachusetts. 

RIC posted a team score of 314. Elms (331), Mitchell (332) and Emmanuel (337) rounded out the rest of the field.

There were 20 golfers competing at the invitational.

Leading RIC 

The Anchormen were led by Warwick native Will Niles and Scituate native Jasper Bruins Slot, who each earned medalist honors. 

Niles and Bruins Slot each shot a 76 to finish first overall. 

Sophomore Cameron Mello placed eighth with an 80.

Sophomore Shane Mello finished tied for 10th with an 82.

Freshman Dylan James placed 20th with a score of 108.

Next for RIC, they will compete at Westfield State’s Brett Williamson Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 22
