Northeast Golf Company Supports FabNewport’s Launch of FabGolf
The Northeast Golf Company and Robert McNeil Golf Architecture teed off at Wanumetonomy on Monday in support of FabNewport’s launch of FabGolf.
The program is designed to introduce the game of golf and all of its facets to kids of the Aquidneck area.
“The Northeast Golf Company and Robert McNeil Golf Architecture are excited to support the development of FabGolf part of FabNewport introducing all of the facets of the golf industry to the inquiring youth of Aquidneck opening doors to the science, engineering, environmental and business sides of the game,” said Northeast Golf Company in a social media post.
The goal of the program is to work with students over an extended periods of time teaching technical, artistic, and design skills while cultivating the personal attributes required for success in life. Grit, self control, empathy, problem solving, and resilience are attributes that will foster success in any pursuit.
The first event held on Monday included a junior golf clinic, a best ball scramble tournament and prizes for the first and second place teams.
There were also closest to the pin, longest drive male and female and closest to the center contests throughout the day.
Following golf, there was an awards cocktail party.
