Earley Edges Dessel to Win Adamonis Cup in Playoff

On the eve of the most fascinating high school golf season in recent memory, La Salle’s Joseph Earley beat Moses Brown’s Harry Dessel in a playoff to win the Adamonis Cup on Sunday at Cranston Country Club. 

Both players finished the tournament at five-over par to tie for the lead at the end of regulation play.

In the first playoff hole (hole #1) Earley made a five, while Dessel made a six giving Earley the individual title. 

Moses Brown did defeat La Salle for the team title 223-330.

Notable Scores 

While Earley and Dessel both shot 76, Hendricken’s Andrew Chadwick posted a 77 to finish in solo third place. 

Moses Brown’s Kylie Eaton and La Salle’ s Charles Melvin posted a pair of 78s to finish in a tie for fourth. 

Eaton was the highest finisher among the girls in the tournament, beating La Salle freshman Olivia Williams by six shots.
