Tiger Woods Commits to British Open at St. Andrews

It is unclear when exactly we will see Tiger Woods again, but following his final round at the Masters, Woods did commit to playing in the British Open at St. Andrews in July.

Woods told Sky Sports the news after the round.

“I am looking forward to St. Andrews, that is something that is near and dear to my heart. I’ve won two Opens there, it’s the home of golf  and my favorite golf course in the world, so I will be there for that one,” Woods said.

As far as the other majors go, Woods said he was unsure about next month’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills, but that “he will try.”

There was no mention of the U.S. Open which is being played at Brookline Country Club in Massachusetts.

Woods posted a 78 on Sunday and finished 47th out of 52 players who made the cut.
