Chatfield Finishes 7th, Notre Dame 2nd at Schenkel Invitational
Davis Chatfield finished in a tie for seventh place, while his Notre Dame Fighting Irish took second at the Schenkel Invitational this weekend at Forest Heights Country Club in Georgia.
After an opening 67, Chatfield posted rounds of 71 and 73 to slide down the leaderboard to seventh.
He finished at five-under par overall.
Meanwhile, Andrew O’Leary climbed 22 spots int he final round to finish in a tie for 42nd.
As a team, the Irish finished at 18-under, seven shots back of first place Georgia Southern.
Chatfield’s Final Round
Starting on one, Chatfield made five straight pars before dropping a birdie on the sixth hole to turn at one-under.
On the back side, Chatfield bogeyed the 15th and 17th holes to post 73.
