Vinny Papa Snags Top 10 Finish at Katherine Perry Hamski Tradition
Rhode Island’s Vinny Papa snagged a top ten finish at the Katherine Perry Hamski Tradition tournament at UNC-Chapel Hill Finley Golf Club in North Carolina.
Papa posted a three-over 75 to finish in a tie for 7th in the tournament.
“Started on hole 7 shotgun, fell to 30th place after 6 holes. Then I climbed my way back up to tie for 7th against the best players down south. Finally, a top 10,” Papa told GolfNewsRI after the round.
North Carolina’s Macy Pate finished first at three-under par.
Papa’s Round
Starting on the seventh hole, Papa bogeyed and then doubled the eighth and ninth holes to move to three-over.
On the back side, Papa made bogey on the 12th and 13th holes, before birding the 14th and 16th holes to turn at even par 36.
In her last six holes, Papa bogeyed the fourth and birdied the fifth to shoot 75.
