Dickson Misses Playoff by 1 Shot at Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier

Heartbreaker.

Rhode Island’s Will Dickson missed the playoff by one shot at the Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier at Laurel Oak Country Club in Florida.

“I missed an eight footer for eagle on the last hole to make the playoff. Shot five-under 67. There was a playoff at 66 to get into the tournament,” said Dickson in a post-round text to GolfNewsRI.

Dickson’s Round

Starting on the back nine, Dickson saved pars on the first two holes, before birding the 12th and 15th holes to get to two under.

Dickson would bogey the par-5 18th hole to turn at one-under 35.

On the front side, Dickson birdied the second hole, then dropped back-to-back birdies on the fifth and sixth holes before saving par on seven and eight.

Entering the ninth hole, Dickson needed an eagle  to get into a rather large playoff for the final spots.

However, he missed the eight foot eagle putt and ended up with a tap in birdie to miss by one shot.

Next Up

Dickson’s next tournament is February 22-24 back on the G-Pro Tour.
