Will Dickson Finishes T20 at Florida Elite Open After Final Round 69
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson carded a final round 69 to finish in a tie for 20th this week at the Florida Elite Open at Orange Country National Golf Club.
“Solid day today, three-under 69. We will see where that puts me after day end. Hopefully top 25,” Dickson said in a text to GolfNewsRI prior to the tournament finishing.
Dickson finished the tournament at four under overall, for a three-day score of 212.
He ended up five spots better.
The tournament was won by Florida’s Jack Maguire, who finished 15-under par.
He beat Ian Martin by one shot.
Dickson’s Final Round
Things did not start out great for the former Moses Brown star.
Dickson bogeyed the third hole, birdied the fourth hole and then bogeyed the fifth hole to be one-over trough five.
However, from there it turned around.
Dickson birdied the sixth hole and then followed up with another birdie on the seventh hole to turn at 35.
Then on the 10th hole, Dickson made an eagle.
“Yes, great drive, 6-iron from 212 yards to like 15 feet and made it,” said Dickson.
Dickson parred out the rest of the way to post 69.
Dickson’s next tournament will be a Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier this Monday, February 14.
