Pilgrim HS Principal, Kings Crossing Member Habershaw Passes Away
Pilgrim High School principal and Kings Crossing Member Gerry Habershaw has passed away, GolfNewsRI has learned.
According to multiple sources, Habershaw passed away suddenly of a heart attack around 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Habershaw has recently come under fire for not wearing a face mask during a Homecoming Dance at Pilgrim.
GolfNewsRI could not confirm his age, but he was just a few years short of retirement.
Habershaw was a long time Kings Crossing member and could be seen at most of the club’s events and tournaments.
On the sixth tee at Kings Crossing, there is a sign posted on the fence that reads “Lake Habershaw.”
Funeral details will follow in the coming days.
The Warwick school department should be ashamed of their behavior and the unnecessary amount of stress they have put him under. When a student body, past and present, along with parents are standing up and advocating for an educator that should speak volumes. The firing of this man was just more ridiculous covid crap.
