Talor Gooch Wins RSM Classic for 1st PGA Tour Victory

Talor Gooch won the RSM Classic at Sea Island by three shots on Sunday afternoon.
The victory was the first of his career and gets him into The Masters and puts him atop the FedEx Cup standings.
“This gets me into some tournaments I wasn’t into. But I want to get to the Tour Championship and this puts me a little bit ahead of the ballgame for that journey. The goal is to win the Tour Championship,” Gooch said after the round.

Starting the final round with a three-shot lead, Gooch looked like a veteran who had won before.
He posted a six-under 64 to win going away, and was never really challenged.
He especially wasn’t challenged after making three birdies in four holes to open the back nine.
Gooch finished 22-under par for the tournament, which ties a tournament record previously held by Kevin Kisner.
