Marilyn Weigner Named RI Women’s Player of Year
Wannamoisett’s Marilyn Weigner has been named the 2021 Rhode Island Women’s Player of the Year, the Rhode Island Golf Association announced on Tuesday.
This is Weigner’s first Player of the Year Award.
Bobby Leopold was named Men’s Player of the Year on Monday.
This past season, Weigner finished in a tie for 7th at the Women’s Senior Amateur at Alpine.
She also finished second at the Women’s Junior/Senior at Pawtucket and made it to the round of 16 at the Rhode Island Women’s Amateur.
