Chatfield Finishes 4th at Stephens Cup, Notre Dame Set for Match Play

Davis Chatfield finished in fourth place at the Jackson Stephens Cup on Tuesday afternoon at The Alotian Club in Arkansas.
Chatfield shot a three round score of 214 (2-under) to finish in solo fourth, four shots out of first place.
Andrew O’Leary finished 15th in the tournament.

Arkansas’ Mateo Fernandez De Oliveira won the individual portion in a playoff over Notre Dame’s Palmer Jackson.
Meanwhile, the Irish won the stroke play portion of the tournament and now will be the number one seed for Wednesday’s match play session.
Top seeded Notre Dame will face sixth-seeded Arkansas.
Chatfield will take on Luke Long, while Andrew O’Leary will face Mateo Fernandez De Oliveira.
Chatfield’s Final Round
Chatfield opened his final round with a birdie on the first hole, and another on the fourth hole to get to two-under for the day.
He closed the front nine with bogeys on seven and nine, with a birdie sandwiched in between to turn at one-under par.
On the back side, Chatfield birdied the 14th and 16th holes, before closing with a bogey on the 18 to post a two-under 72 for the day.
O’Leary’s Final Round
After opening the round with two pars, O”Leary bogeyed the third hole and then doubled the fourth hole to go to three-over.
O’Leary got back on track with an eagle on the 8th hole to turn at one-over.
On the back side, O’Leary birdied the 10th hole to get back to even, but closed with two bogeys on 16 and 18 to finish at two-over.
