Rhode Islanders Slip in Latest PGA Tour University Rankings 

The three Rhode Islanders slipped in the latest PGA Tour University Rankings. 

However, it should be noted that these rankings were released prior to the conclusion of the Maridoe Collegiate. 

The top 15 players at the end of the season get automatic bids onto one of the PGA Tour’s mini-tours. 

The top five players go to the Korn Ferry Tour.

Patrick Welch

Patrick Welch just one spot from 31 to 32 this week. 

However, he just finished tied for 11th at the Maridoe Collegiate and so expect him to climb back up next week.  

After a win at Maridoe, Oklahoma returns to action in two weeks at the Nike Invitational.

Davis Chatfield 

Chatfield dropped 16 spots in the latest rankings to 80th. 

After struggling at the Marquette Invitational, Chatfield finishes tied for 13th at the Gopher Invitational.

Notre Dame won the tournament. 

The Irish return to action next weekend at the Window Invitational. 

Andrew O’Leary

Fellow Notre Dame star Andrew O’Leary dropped seven spots in the rankings and is now 93rd. 

After a strong summer, O’Leary has not played great this college season, most recently finishing 25th at the Gopher Invitational. 

There is plenty of season left, but he will need to start stringing some tournaments together to move up.
