Welch Finishes 9th, Oklahoma Wins Cabo Collegiate
Patrick Welch finished ninth and the Oklahoma Sooners took home the trophy at the Cabo Collegiate on Wednesday afternoon at TPC San Antonio.
Welch shot a 3-under par 69 on Wednesday to finish one-under for the tournament and in solo ninth.
It is his second straight top 10 finish.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma held on to win the tournament by one shot over Florida State, and three shots over Texas A&M.
As a team, the Sooners were ten under on the day.
The #1 ranked Sooners are back in action starting Monday, March 15 at The George Hannon.
Welch’s Round
After a rough second round, Welch opened the third round with a birdie on the first hole.
The Classical alum then parred the next seven holes before birding the ninth to make the turn at two-under par.
Welch gave one back on the tenth hole, before making birdie on 14 and then 18 to finish three-under for the day.
