According to Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis, Woods is planning to use his backup Scotty Cameron putter for the tournament.

Lewis adds that the backup putter is “similar to the old putter bu has weights on the sole that he can replace to accommodate his feel on the greens.”

According to Lewis, this will be the first time Woos has used this putter in competition.

Woods has won 14 of his 15 majors with the Scotty Cameron Newport-2 putter, though he has benched it on a number of occasions over the years.

Woods tees off on Thursday at 11:33 a.m. eastern time for the first round of the PGA championship.

He is playing with Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas.
