Jason Day Fires Swing Coach Colin Swatton
Jason Day has fired long time mentor and swing coach Colin Swatton after more than two decades of working together.
“It’s been a long and successful road working with Col. I have just decided I want to make a change and work on my own as it pertains to my golf swing. Col has been way more than just a caddie and coach to me. I am forever grateful for all he has done for my golf and his continued friendship,” Day told PGA Tour.com in a statement.
The two have worked together since Day was 12 years old.
There is no word on who Day will bring on, if anyone.
Swatton and Day on Tour
Swatton has helped guide Day to 12 PGA Tour wins, including the Pga Championship and 51 weeks s World #1.
However, Day has not won on Tour since the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship and fell outside the top 50 in the world earlier this year.
Day has also been hampered by back injuries over the last several years.
