DeChambeau has been the talk of the PGA Tour season to this point, after intentionally putting on weight and his new found ability to drive the ball nearly 400 yards.

His new look had yet to find him in the winners circle, but up until Sunday, he had recorded six consecutive top finish finishes dating back to February.

“I will say, for the people at home, no matter how much you want to say about me, I love everyone. I hope everyone just appreciates the hard work I put in,” said DeChambeau after the round.

The win is DeChambeau’s sixth of his PGA Tour career and the first win he has had in 20 months.

His last victory came at the 2018 Shiners Hospitals for Children Open.

DeChambeau Wins, Wolff Falls Apart

Matt Wolff opened the final round with a three-shot lead, but that was gone in just two holes.

DeChambeau opened with five birdies in the first ten holes to take a three-shot lead over Wolff.

Wolf played the first ten in three-over par.

Despite his early struggles, Wolff rallied on the back nine with birdies at holes 12, 13, 15 and 17 to get within one, but DeChambeau birdied 16, 17, and 18 to close it out.
